Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or Intermediate or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have 10 years of experience in the retail industry, specifically in roles such as a buyer, merchandising, strategic planning, marketing, finance

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in an office environment, involving extended periods of sitting and computer use
  • The candidates should be willing to travel occasionally between different locations
  • The candidates should have the capability to attend and actively participate in various meetings

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have at least 5 years of leadership/management experience, demonstrating a strong propensity for team building, coaching, and consumer-packaged goods vendor; ideally, direct category management/merchandising experience
  • The candidates should have a proven ability to develop, manage, and motivate a top-caliber team around a compelling vision
  • The candidates should exhibit highly effective relationship management skills, with a track record of developing, selling, and executing programs collaboratively
  • The candidates should have a thorough understanding of the business, growth, change management, systems, and process management
  • The candidates should demonstrate strong financial acumen and a strategic mindset
  • The candidates should possess superb collaboration, joint problem-solving, and influencing skills
  • The candidates should have a strong track record of driving results and performance transformation

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to lead the development and delivery of CTR’s Pricing and Assortment Strategy in partnership with Merchandising Leadership, playing a crucial role in optimizing product offerings, maximizing revenue potential, enhancing customer satisfaction, and improving overall business performance
  • The candidates should be capable of developing and operationalizing CTR’s Pricing Modelling Capabilities, continuously measuring and optimizing for business value (e.g. Elasticity, Regionality, Pricing Optimization)
  • The candidates should be able to own CTR’s Pricing Capabilities roadmap, leading the delivery and implementation of pricing projects for CTR in partnership with IT (includes Legacy Modernization for pricing systems)
  • The candidates should be able to develop and oversee CTRs assortment management practices for the delivery of best-in-class assortments for our customers from strategy through to execution
  • The candidates should be capable of leading CTR’s efforts to increase enterprise/category strategy alignment by adding a customer lens to our merchandising strategy practices
  • The candidates should be able to establish CTR’s monitoring of competitors’ pricing strategies and assortment offerings to identify opportunities for differentiation and competitive advantage, as well as regulatory compliance
  • The candidates should be capable of advancing data analysis tools and techniques to extract insights from sales data, customer data, and other relevant sources to inform pricing and assortment decisions, including business integration of insights
  • The candidates should be able to be accountable for CTR’s Pricing Operations, inclusive of Margin Management, Price Assurance, Cost/Freight, and Merchant/Dealer operational support
  • The candidates should be able to build and/or develop a high-performing team that can lead and drive outcomes
