Salary: $21.00 to $26.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Coaldale, AB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Rural area and Various locations

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure and handle physically demanding tasks
  • The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking and able to manage a large workload
  • The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, in dusty environments, and in areas with odors
  • The candidates should be comfortable working with livestock

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be organized and team player

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to handle animals, monitor animal health, treat livestock health issues, operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, and formulate a feeding program
  • The candidates should be able to maintain livestock performance records, train horses, and detect diseases and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry
  • The candidates should be able to set and monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops
