Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the Inuktut, English or French Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Grade 12
Experience: Candidates should have Professional experience working in an administrative role

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have coursework in general administrative and financial courses, human resources, and/or computer software
  • The candidates should possess acceptable combinations of education and experience, with equivalent years of education and/or experience equal to the education and experience required
  • The candidates should demonstrate fluency in more than one of Nunavut’s official languages
  • The candidates should have knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, land, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, Inuktut, and experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide a full range of administrative and financial support to the Qikiqtaaluk District Office
  • The candidates should be able to perform various office and human resources functions while maintaining confidentiality
  • The candidates should be able to provide overall office management including reception services, greeting, and assisting the public
  • The candidates should be able to maintain filing and mail log systems
  • The candidates should be able to complete purchase orders for office supplies and inventory
  • The candidates should be able to maintain employee leave and attendance records and perform data entry of financial documents

Benefits:

  • The candidates will get Northern Allowance of $24,192.00 per year
