Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a diploma in office or business administration
Experience: Candidates should have experience in office administration practices

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to arrange appointments and travel and effectively exchange information
  • The candidates should have the ability to manage time and tasks and maintain confidentiality
  • The candidates should have the ability to work independently
  • The candidates should have experience working in a financial environment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have knowledge of financial practices and office administrative procedures and experience in arranging appointments and travel
  • The candidates should have knowledge of information management practices and relationship building skills
  • The candidates should have a recent and satisfactory enhanced security clearance and note that paid parking is not provided by the employer

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide professional and confidential financial, administrative, clerical, and computer-related support to the Office of the High Sheriff
  • The candidates should be able to oversee the Sheriff’s Office Inventory System (SOIS) and ensure its proper administration
  • The candidates should be able to administer the purchasing of supplies and equipment for the Office of the High Sheriff in accordance with policies and procedures of the Public Purchasing Agency
  • The candidates should be able to arrange and manage logistics such as flights, rentals, accommodations, equipment, and vehicle fleet services, while adhering to relevant policies and procedures
  • The candidates should be able to distribute correspondence to all Sheriff’s officers province-wide and maintain electronic and paper filing systems effectively
  • The candidates should be able to provide administrative support to the Manager of Equipment, Training, and Organizational Development, as well as to the High Sheriff
