Requirements:

Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lb/22.7 kg
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a vehicle with a minimum cargo capacity of 50 cu ft (1415 liters) to meet the requirements for the role
- The candidates vehicle should be equipped with an automatic transmission and power windows
- The candidates should have a metal roof-top and an accessory power outlet to accommodate a Canada Post sign and flashing light
- The candidates vehicle window sill should be between 38” and 45” from the ground, with a maximum interior width of 56”
- The candidates vehicle should ideally have a fifth door or hatchback to facilitate the loading of oversized and bulky items
- The candidates must provide and maintain the required automobile liability insurance for the use of their vehicle
- The candidates must notify their insurance company regarding the use of their vehicle while employed at Canada Post
- The candidates should have a satisfactory safe driving record is essential for candidates applying for this position
- The candidates must possess a valid permanent provincial driver’s license as part of their qualifications for the role
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to project a positive and courteous manner when dealing with customers face-to-face
- The candidates should be adept at sorting, collecting, and delivering mail items in a safe and timely manner
- The candidates should be able to acquire and maintain knowledge of local infrastructure, including roads, customers, and delivery receptacles
- The candidates should be able to ensure mail is safely secured in their possession
- The candidates should be able to process various CPC products and services (Change of Address Notification, Damaged Mail, Items Delivered Bill (IDB), and others)
- The candidates should be able to wear Canada Post identification while on delivery and ensure its visibility while delivering and collecting mail from customers
- The candidates should have experience in making deliveries and operating a motor vehicle in all kinds of weather and traffic conditions
