Salary: $15.25 to $18.50 hourly (To be negotiated) 20 to 45 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Part time leading to full time
Location: St. John’s, NL
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible Hours
Work setting: Apartment/condominium complex, Office building, Commercial building, Industrial facility or establishment, Recreational facility/institution, Private residence, Urban area
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Own tools/equipment: Industrial vacuum cleaners/power sweepers, Carpet cleaning machine, Polishing machines, Waxing machine, Security system, Upholstery cleaning equipment
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure, be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle weight Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be dependable, organized, flexible, and reliable
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, and excellent written communication
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs
- The candidates should be able to operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
- The candidates should be able to empty trash cans and other waste containers
- The candidates should be able to wash windows, interior walls and ceilings
- The candidates should be able to perform safety and security checks, work with minimal supervision
- The candidates should be able to move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
- The candidates should be able to clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
