Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have hold a university degree with a specialization in business, economics, mathematics and engineering
Experience: Candidates should have 3 years experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time any offer of employment is made and should seek any required work permits or visas or other authorizations, which is their sole responsibility
  • The candidates should be able to work on multiple tasks, prioritize heavy workloads, and meet tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be team players, self-starters, and able to work under general direction

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and generate reports and successfully translate and communicate data to achieve corporate goals
  • The candidates should have proven leadership, interpersonal, and presentation skills and solid business or commercial orientation and experience, as well as an understanding of the airline industry’s competitive environment
  • The candidates should have proficiency with Excel and Word applications; knowledge of Access
  • The candidates should have experience and knowledge in Origin-Destination Revenue Management

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to be accountable for Origin-Destination (O&D) forecast accuracy in premium cabins and proactively manage demand and cancellation forecasts in PROS O&DIII based on historical data, Air Canada changes, market changes, and other influential factors
  • The candidates should be able to review forecast performance, monitor holidays/special events and alerts that indicate variance in bookings from forecast to identify sub-optimal situations or opportunities to increase network revenues
  • The candidates should be able to apply forecast influences to reflect changes in market conditions not yet captured by PROS O&D forecaster and monitor class mix and adjust forecasts accordingly to ensure that OD POS objectives are met and opportunities for increasing revenues are seized
  • The candidates should be able to manage business rules in RTDP as per the processes and guidelines and maintain expert knowledge and understanding of the booking demand curve, availability, the effects of current market and competitive forces, market strategies, and network flows
  • The candidates should be able to produce and analyze management information reports to support decision-making and audit implemented strategies
  • The candidates should be able to develop and maintain expertise on revenue management tools and techniques, as well as marketing information systems
  • The candidates should be able to liaise with Flight Revenue Managers, Pricing Managers, and other Demand Managers in both premium and economy cabins to best manage market actions and ensure that network and regional objectives remain aligned with corporate objectives
  • The candidates should be able to liaise with Network Planning regarding longer-term schedule opportunities and alignment with demand expectations of major schedule changes
  • The candidates should be able to stimulate demand by leveraging other market controls such as pricing actions and Aeroplan offers
  • The candidates should be able to understand corporate demand by OD and work closely with Corporate Revenues Manager, Corporate Sales, and Network Planning to maximize corporate revenue
