Transportation information: Willing to travel, Willing to travel regularly, and Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Industrial facility or establishment, Urban area, Warehouse, Private sector, Professional association or organization, On-site customer service, Business and/or industry, Health care institution, facility or clinic, and Research institute, laboratory or centre

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: Specialized environmental skills and knowledge
Computer and technology knowledge: Word processing software, Electronic mail, Spreadsheet, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Windows, Adobe Acrobat Reader, and MS Office
Security and safety: Bondable

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work independently and under pressure, capable of meeting tight deadlines
  • The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and be willing to work overtime when required
  • The candidates should be able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

  • The candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrate flexibility

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless workflow and collaboration, and monitor the movement of supplies and materials between departments to maintain inventory levels and support production needs
  • The candidates should be able to perform routine clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and document management to support office operations, and prepare and submit reports accurately and timely to provide information for decision-making purposes
  • The candidates should be able to ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, troubleshooting issues as needed to minimize downtime, and maintain work records and logs to track tasks, activities, and resource usage
  • The candidates should be able to monitor personnel workloads and locations to ensure efficient deployment of resources, and perform general office duties such as answering phones, responding to emails, and organizing files to support administrative functions
  • The candidates should be able to resolve work-related problems promptly and effectively to minimize disruptions to operations, and coordinate activities with warehouse and production units to optimize efficiency and productivity
  • The candidates should be able to compile worksheets and specifications of orders accurately to facilitate production planning and execution, and consult with production supervisors to schedule production runs in a cost and time-efficient manner, considering resource availability and customer requirements
  • The candidates should be able to create, investigate, track, and complete work orders to ensure tasks are completed as required, and monitor production progress and prepare and maintain progress and other reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement
  • The candidates should be able to provide customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns to maintain positive relationships with clients, and requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support operational requirements
  • The candidates should be able to assist with the maintenance of communications equipment to ensure smooth communication channels, and have knowledge of cross-border dispatching regulations and practices to facilitate transportation operations
  • The candidates should have knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations to ensure compliance with transportation laws, and be able to plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics of the organization to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
  • The candidates should be able to record mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses accurately to track operational costs, and organize and maintain inventory to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize shortages
  • The candidates should be able to provide consulting services to government and other organizations on logistics and operational matters, and ensure products and work methods maximize safety, productivity, and comfort for employees
  • The candidates should be able to establish internal programs within schools, businesses, and industries to promote responsible attitudes towards the environment, and study, evaluate, and control physical, chemical, biological, and ergonomic hazards and stresses in the workplace and suggest changes to work processes to mitigate risks and improve safety
