Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift
Transportation information: Public transportation is not available, Own transportation
Type of crops: Berries, Vegetables
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and machinery experience: Fruit harvester, Vegetable harvester
Own tools/equipment: Gloves
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be willing to work outdoors in wet/damp and hot conditions in a fast-paced environment. They should be able to handle repetitive tasks and heavy loads that are physically demanding
- The candidates should possess hand-eye coordination and the ability to distinguish between colors, and they should be comfortable with standing for extended periods, as well as tasks that involve bending, crouching, and kneeling. They should also be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to pick row and orchard crops
- The candidates should be able to write daily basic progress reports
- The candidates should be able to clean work area
- The candidates should be able to sort and pack fruits and vegetables
- The candidates should be able to load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce, livestock and poultry
