Salary: $20.00 to $21.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week

Location: 38 Fell Ave. North Vancouver, BC V7P 3S2
Shifts: Day
Work setting: Child care centre, Urban area, and Day care centre or nursery school

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Infant (3 months – 11 months)
Credentials: Child development assistant (ECE level 1), Emergency child care first aid and CPR, Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Immunization records

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be non-smokers and comfortable working in an air-conditioned environment
  • The candidates should be capable of handling repetitive tasks efficiently and be prepared for the physically demanding aspects of the job
  • The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail in their work and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • The candidates should be able to perform activities such as bending, crouching, and kneeling comfortably

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should exhibit punctuality in their attendance and demonstrate dependability in fulfilling their duties
  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication and showcase excellent oral communication skills
  • The candidates should demonstrate strong written communication skills and flexibility in their approach to tasks and schedules
  • The candidates should have interpersonal awareness for effective collaboration and exercise good judgment in decision-making
  • The candidates should demonstrate reliability in their work performance and uphold strong values and ethics in their professional conduct

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide care and attention to infants and toddlers by bathing, diapering, and feeding them
  • The candidates should be able to capable of developing and implementing child-care programs that foster the holistic development of children, including physical, cognitive, emotional, and social aspects
  • The candidates should be able to adept at supporting early childhood educators in implementing developmental programs for children
  • The candidates should be able to skilled in leading various activities for children, including storytelling, singing, and organizing local outings
  • The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators or supervisors in accurately maintaining records related to child development
  • The candidates should be able to foster creativity in children through activities such as art, dramatic play, music, and physical exercises
  • The candidates should be able to engage children in diverse activities like storytelling, singing, and crafting
