Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Credentials: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable performing repetitive tasks
  • The candidates should be able to handle physically demanding work
  • The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as needed

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to multitask

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, develop and implement child-care programs that support physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development, and engage children in activities such as telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, observe for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems, prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors, and attend staff meetings to discuss children’s progress and issues
  • The candidates should be able to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers, and plan and maintain an environment that ensures the health, security, and well-being of children
