Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience in customer service
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb)
- The candidates should have the availability to work on short notice
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess a valid Class 3 / D or Class 5 / G driver’s license with an Air Brake Endorsement
- The candidates should have a safe driving record for at least 3 years (driver’s abstract required)
- The candidates should have experience in driving a 5-ton truck or other large vehicles, or in commercial delivery
- The candidates should have the ability to read, write, and speak English and/or French
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to load, unload, and drive a Canada Post vehicle safely and responsibly
- The candidates should be able to collect, sort, and deliver mail items efficiently and accurately
- The candidates should be able to keep items and property secure at all times during transportation and delivery
- The candidates should be able to fill out documentation and maintain records related to mail collection, sorting, and delivery
- The candidates should be able to communicate effectively with customers and the public to address inquiries, provide assistance, and ensure customer satisfaction
