THE COAST FRASER INN based in Williams Lake, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Front desk clerk, hotel. THE COAST FRASER INN is a 12-minute walk from the Museum of The Cariboo Chilcotin and 2.7 km from Scout Island Nature Centre. We offer free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, our bright rooms also have minifridges, coffeemakers and desks and suites add kitchenettes, and living rooms with pull-out sofas with a hot breakfast buffet and parking. We have an adjoining sports bar, an exercise room, a hot tub and a business centre. We are known to provide satisfaction to our customers, that they don’t have to go to any one else after getting the best services from us. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, On Call, Flexible Hours, Early Morning and Morning
Work Setting: Staff accommodation is available

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates need experience of 7 months to less than 1 year

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to register arriving guests and assign rooms
  • The candidate should be able to take, cancel and change room reservations
  • The candidate should be able to provide information on hotel facilities and services
  • The candidate should be able to process guests’ departures, calculate charges and receive payments
  • The candidate should be able to maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments
  • The candidate should be able to clerical duties (i.e. faxing, filing, photocopying)
  • The candidate should be able to answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
  • The candidate should be able to assist clients/guests with special needs
  • The candidate should be able to handle wake-up calls
  • The candidate should be able to provide customer service
