Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Child Abuse Registry check, Driving record check (abstract), Adult Abuse Registry check and Vulnerable sector check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be non-smoking and capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as required for certain tasks, as well as comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout their workday
  • The candidates should be able to handle repetitive tasks with consistency and efficiency, and sit or stand as needed for certain tasks, including standing for extended periods and walking as necessary throughout their workday

  • The candidates should demonstrate punctuality, consistently arriving on time for work and meetings, and exhibit dependability, reliably fulfilling their duties and meeting deadlines
  • The candidates should show a strong focus on client needs, ensuring satisfaction, building positive relationships, and possessing efficient interpersonal skills, fostering effective communication and collaboration with clients and colleagues
  • The candidates should demonstrate excellent oral communication skills, conveying information clearly and persuasively, and display flexibility, adapting readily to changing circumstances and priorities
  • The candidates should show initiative in identifying opportunities for improvement, taking proactive steps to address challenges, and be organized, managing tasks and responsibilities efficiently
  • The candidates should be reliable, consistently demonstrating commitment and dependability, and be team players, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals and deliver exceptional service

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care to clients with professionalism and compassion, including assisting with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, respecting their dignity and privacy, and feeding or assisting in feeding clients who require assistance, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration
  • The candidates should be able to administer medications to clients as prescribed by healthcare professionals, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols, and change non-sterile dressings as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring cleanliness and proper technique
  • The candidates should be able to assist clients in regular exercise activities, such as walking, to promote physical well-being, provide companionship to clients, engaging in conversation and activities to promote mental well-being, and provide personal care according to their individual needs and preferences
  • The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals to clients, following dietary guidelines and preferences, to ensure their well-being and health
