Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Working towards or completion of a post-secondary education program, diploma or degree in Human Resources management
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be strong team players with problem-solving capabilities

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have excellent computer skills, including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with a passion for accuracy

  • The candidates should approach tasks with a positive and professional attitude, displaying a willingness to learn and enjoying challenging oneself

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to coordinate all aspects of recruiting, including applicant selection, interview, reference checking, and job offers
  • The candidates should be able to develop advertising strategies and ads and coordinate job fairs for hourly recruiting
  • The candidates should be able to lead the Orientation Process for new employees, including setting up personal record files, forms completion, and distribution thereof to payroll, benefit carriers, and union office
  • The candidates should be able to develop and coordinate job postings and the job posting system in accordance with the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • The candidates should be able to lead and develop hourly training and promote positive employee relations and goodwill
  • The candidates should be able to monitor and maintain attendance records for all hourly employees by receiving daily reports from supervisors and entering them into databases (spreadsheet and PWA)
  • The candidates should be able to compile monthly absenteeism reports for plant and MCR purposes and source and recruit summer students for the peak vacation period
  • The candidates should be able to coordinate locker use and perform periodic inspections in accordance with HACCP and collective agreement provisions and perform other duties as assigned
