Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to ensure the delivery of service to both External and Internal customers consistent with CIBC’s vision of winning customer loyalty through service excellence
  • The candidates should be able to use extensive analytical ability to resolve all complex or difficult problems relating to Fraud Applications, Account Takeovers, Convenience Cheques, and Payments referred by other areas of CIBC or other external sources as well as from our monitoring systems
  • The candidates should be able to investigate and identify suspected fraudulent activities using knowledge of risk management principles, policies, and procedures to mitigate fraud and minimize losses to CIBC in an efficient and timely manner to meet productivity goals
  • The candidates should be able to use sound decision-making skills to react quickly to incoming calls/referrals and make sound decisions in situations where limited information/ambiguity exists. This includes reviewing customer profiles, transactions, and banking history to minimize exposure to loss and protect CIBC and our clients’ privacy
  • The candidates should be able to collaborate by identifying, referring, and escalating different types of fraud to relevant areas within the Identity Theft Response Fraud Contact Center. This includes Fraud Strategy, Corporate Security, Loss Management, Client Care, Ombudsman Office, VISA, and Intria, to be effectively investigated and resolved
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate experience in COINS/ECIF, PRM, TSYS, and CRS, with proficiency in these systems considered an asset
  • The candidates should prioritize putting our clients first, engaging with purpose to find the right solutions, and consistently going the extra mile because it’s the right thing to do
  • The candidates should possess a keen understanding that success lies in the details, with an ability to notice things that others may overlook. Their critical thinking skills contribute to informed decision-making
