Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education: Candidates should have a Diploma in Inuit Studies from a recognized post-secondary institution
Experience: Candidates should have three (3) years of related work experience

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have policy-related work experience and Fluency in Inuktut
  • The candidates should have knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, land, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, and Inuktut
  • The candidates should have experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment
  • The candidates should have acceptable combinations of education and experience will be considered, and candidates should have equivalent years of education and/or experience

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to coordinate the department-specific elements of the implementation of Iviqtippalliajut
  • The candidates should be able to oversee and coordinate program delivery, including program development, courses, tools, resources, and reporting
  • The candidates should be able to administer tasks to ensure that scheduled IQ/ISV programs and actions are taken, objectives are achieved, progress data is collected/monitored, and corrective measures are taken when required to address shortfalls or gaps
  • The candidates should be able to be accountable for reporting and monitoring on the status and progress of Articles 23 and 32 of the Nunavut Agreement within their department
  • The candidates should be able to organize and administer the implementation of the Iviqtippalliajut framework while working closely and collaboratively with the department of Culture and Heritage

Benefits:

  • The candidates will get Northern Allowance of $18,517 per annum
