Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: Geriatrics, Palliative care
Credentials: Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Adult Abuse Registry check, and Vulnerable sector check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of performing repetitive tasks, handle physically demanding work, and be attentive to detail
- The candidates should have the ability to distinguish between colors and manage a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be accurate in their work, have a strong client focus, and be dependable in fulfilling their responsibilities
- The candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be flexible in adapting to various tasks
- The candidates should demonstrate interpersonal awareness, have good judgment, and be organized in their approach to work
- The candidates should be reliable in performing their duties, be a team player, and adhere to values and ethics
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer medications, conduct specimen collection, and ensure infection control
- The candidates should be able to monitor nutritional intake, observe and record medication’s therapeutic and side effects, and take vital signs
- The candidates should be able to provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures, and monitor patients’ progress, evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with appropriate members of the healthcare team
