Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Supervision: 1 to 2 people and 3-4 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 5 years
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to perform physically demanding work, handle heavy loads, and manage a large workload
• The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as needed, and have good hand-eye coordination
• The candidates should be attentive to detail and have the ability to distinguish between colors
• The candidates should be available for overtime as required

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered, as well as mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel
• The candidates should be able to prepare rough plans and sketches, set tiles in place, apply pressure to affix them to the base, and align and straighten tiles
• The candidates should be able to cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools, pack grout into joints between tiles, and remove excess grout
• The candidates should be able to remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, supervise other workers, and instruct apprentices
• The candidates should be able to lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs, as well as build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets
• The candidates should be able to cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite, estimate costs and materials, and mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces
• The candidates should be able to install tile strips
