Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, On Call, Morning
Work setting: Food service establishment, On-site customer service, and Restaurant
Supervision: 5-10 people, Cook (general), Food and beverage servers, Food service counter attendants and food preparers, and Kitchen and food service helpers
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in hot environments
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be capable of working under pressure
- The candidates should be able to manage a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and stand for extended periods during work hours
- The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as necessary
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate a strong focus on client satisfaction and possess efficient interpersonal skills, demonstrating excellent oral communication
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in their approach to tasks and be effective team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to establish methods to meet work schedules and supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
- The candidates should be able to train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, estimate and order ingredients and supplies, and hire food service staff
- The candidates should be able to ensure food service and quality control, prepare budget and cost estimates, and address customers’ complaints or concerns
- The candidates should be able to maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, prepare and submit reports, and prepare food order summaries for the chef
- The candidates should have knowledge of the establishment’s culinary genres and be able to establish work schedules
