Hardmetals (Canada) Inc. is a subsidiary of Hard Metals Australia Pty Limited. We are an engineering company specialising in the design and manufacture of tungsten carbide and polycrystalline diamond tools for the agricultural, construction, drilling and mining industries. We are a key figure in the application and development of tungsten carbide for agricultural ground engaging tools during the early 90’s and 80’s. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Shifts: Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, Flexible Hours, Early Morning and Morning
Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Own tools/equipment: Candidates should have steel-toed safety boots
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates need experience of 3 years to less than 5 years
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Candidates must have Machinist Trade Certification
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in fast-paced environment, maintain tight deadlines, perform repetitive tasks and also stand for extended periods
- The candidate should be physically strong
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a flexible environment and also have accuracy
- The candidate should be dependable and also a team player
- The candidate should have experience of measuring tools like Micrometers, Callipers, Calibre, Gauges and also Verniers
- The candidate should have experience of equipment and machinery like Computer numerical control (CNC) machines, Drill presses and also Milling machines
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables and also fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
- The candidate should be able to maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments and also maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
- The candidate should be able to set up and adjust production machineries/tools and also set up, operate and maintain a variety of conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
- The candidate should be able to verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) and also verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
