Salary: $18.00 to $20.00 hourly (To be negotiated) 8 to 24 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Revelstoke, BC
Shifts: Weekend
Work setting: Specialty shop, Clothing store, Shoe store
Type of product: Sports equipment and clothing

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Art or fashion design experience: Footwear, women’s clothing, and men’s clothing
Specialization or experience: Specialized environmental skills and knowledge, Green economy sector

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • The candidates should be adept at handling heavy loads
  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods
  • The candidates should be capable of lifting up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be adaptable, collaborative, efficient, energetic, hardworking, and possess integrity
  • The candidates should be outgoing with a positive attitude and proactive, with good time management skills
  • The candidates should be dependable, reliable, team players, and possess efficient interpersonal and excellent oral communication skills

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to operate the cash register efficiently and accurately, provide advice about merchandise based on customer needs and preferences, and advertise/promote products effectively
  • The candidates should be able to provide excellent customer service, assist in displaying merchandise to attract customers’ attention, and estimate prices, credit terms, warranties, and delivery dates as required
  • The candidates should be able to greet customers warmly, discuss merchandise/services sought, maintain sales records for inventory control, prepare merchandise for purchase/lease, and prepare sales contracts and accept payments accurately
