Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Experience: Candidates should have Strong assets include experience with Linux, Gerrit, Github, Jenkins, Django, and Angular
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be proficient in software development and debugging skills, with knowledge of concurrent programming languages such as Perl, Python, Javascript, Typescript, HTML/CSS, Java, C/C++
- The candidates should possess beneficial knowledge of LTE and/or 5G wireless protocols or wireless knowledge in general
- The candidates should be actively pursuing the completion of a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree
- The candidates should be eligible for entering any co-op term (1st, 2nd, …)
- The candidates should demonstrate interpersonal skills, being independent, self-starters, team players, with strong organizational and detail-oriented abilities, capable of working in a dynamic environment
- The candidates should exhibit effective English oral and written communication skills
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to develop/code automated 5G test cases
- The candidates should be able to develop/code automated test tools capabilities
- The candidates should be able to develop real-time 5G base station software
- The candidates should be able to develop and support software build and integration tools
- The candidates should be able to troubleshoot and help resolve issues with the test environment
- The candidates should work with a team, and on their own, to perform software integration testing in the lab
- The candidates should work in 5G simulations testing signal processing, including in AI/ML
- The candidates should assist in the investigation of issues uncovered during testing
- The candidates should be involved in lab equipment configuration and set-up
- The candidates should be responsible for generating test data for design validation
- The candidates should review software designs and test plans
- The candidates should execute tests manually on 5G lab equipment
- The candidates should be able to develop test tools and/or test scripts
- The candidates should report on test results
- The candidates should be involved in developing command-line and web-based tools to support software development
- The candidates should collaborate with colleagues using an Agile way of working
