Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Cuisine specialties: Dim sum, Cantonese cuisine
Equipment and machinery experience: Conventional oven, deep fryer, food dispensers, and grill

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, capable of handling heavy loads, and willing to work overtime when required
• The candidates should be able to handle physically demanding and repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods, and work under pressure
• The candidates should have attention to detail and be able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas, set tables, and carry and replace linen
• The candidates should be able to clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units, clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, and load buspans and trays
• The candidates should be able to operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, place dishes in the storage area, and replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
• The candidates should be able to sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, scour pots and pans, and keep records of the quantities of food used
• The candidates should be able to package take-out food, portion and wrap foods, and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items
• The candidates should be able to stock refrigerators and salad bars, use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, and clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
• The candidates should be able to handle and store cleaning products, receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, and remove kitchen garbage and trash
• The candidates should be able to sharpen kitchen knives, sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, and wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
