Salary: $19.50 hourly for 70 to 88 hours bi-weekly

Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime, On Call, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Urban area and Work in employer’s/client’s home

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Reference required, and Vulnerable sector check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to handle physically demanding tasks such as bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
• The candidates should be able to be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, as well as working in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, and performing repetitive tasks
• The candidates should be able to be prepared for overtime as required and able to work effectively under pressure
• The candidates should be non-smoking

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should exhibit punctuality, prioritize client focus, demonstrate dependability, possess efficient interpersonal skills, showcase flexibility and initiative, exercise sound judgment, maintain reliability, and embody a strong team player mentality

Candidate Status:

• Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
• International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to care for pets
• The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care
• The candidates should be able to administer medications
• The candidates should be able to assist clients in water (i.e., pool)
• The candidates should be able to assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
• The candidates should be able to assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
• The candidates should be able to change non-sterile dressings
• The candidates should be able to feed or assist in feeding
• The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens
• The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• The candidates should be able to provide companionship
• The candidates should be able to provide personal care
