Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Pharmacy technician Certification

Candidate Status:

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to set up and dismantle equipment, clean and maintain equipment, and prepare and maintain equipment and supplies
  • The candidates should be able to supervise and direct activities of other medical technologists or technicians, help with scheduling and workflow, and organize and maintain inventory
  • The candidates should be able to apply and adjust casts, splints, and bandages, and advise patients in the use and care of prostheses and orthoses
  • The candidates should be able to compound, package, and label pharmaceutical products, and compound oral solutions, ointments, and creams
  • The candidates should be able to maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products, and advise patients on loss of depth perception
