Welding techniques: Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), TIG
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Custom fabrication, Pressure vessels, Large diameter pipelines, Structural construction, Factory assembly, Cast iron and other metals, Space equipment, Fencing, balconies, stairs, and railingsÂ
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle repetitive tasks, and be capable of handling heavy loads and performing physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should demonstrate manual dexterity, attention to detail, and possess hand-eye coordination, and be able to stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, have excellent oral and written communication, and exhibit flexibility
- The candidates should be organized and demonstrate the ability to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes, and examine welds to ensure they meet standards
- The candidates should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and use computer-aided design (CAD)
- The candidates should be able to operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines, and fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal
- The candidates should be able to determine the weldability of materials and operate previously set-up welding or brazing/soldering machines
- The candidates should be able to start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines and maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
