Supervision: 1 to 2 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Credentials: Mandt System training, Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, Medication Administration Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to address personal and social adjustment and health issues such as substance abuse, gambling, and behavior disorders.
• The candidates should be capable of addressing socio-economic needs or conditions including housing, nutrition, unemployment, and financial assistance.
• The candidates should be able to work under pressure and have attention to detail
• The candidates should be capable of handling weights up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be accurate, demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills
• The candidates should have interpersonal awareness, demonstrate good judgment, uphold values and ethics, and be client-focused
• The candidates should be flexible, demonstrate initiative, and be a team player

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to prepare reports or case histories and appraise clients’ needs or eligibility for specific services
• The candidates should be able to perform administrative tasks, implement life skills workshops, and perform housekeeping activities
• The candidates should be able to prepare food, provide suicide and crisis intervention, and resolve conflict situations
• The candidates should be able to implement behavior management programs, liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers involved with clients, assist clients/guests with special needs, and accompany clients to appointments and social outings
