Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Security and safety: Reference required

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work in a non-smoking environment
• The candidates should be physically capable of demanding tasks, be able to perform repetitive tasks, and work under pressure
• The candidates should have attention to detail and be capable of handling weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, have excellent oral communication, and exhibit flexibility
• The candidates should show initiative, be organized, and display reliability
• The candidates should have good time management skills, have patience, and demonstrate honesty

Candidate Status:

• Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
• International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens, and maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• The candidates should be able to discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, and keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
• The candidates should be able to organize activities such as games and outings for children, prepare infants and children for rest periods, and supervise and care for children
• The candidates should be able to take children to and from school and to appointments and tend to the emotional well-being of children
