Requirements:

Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Shingled roofs
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Bondable
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working at heights and outdoors.
- The candidates should be able to work in dusty environments
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handle physically demanding tasks, and work under pressure
- The candidates should be able to perform bending, crouching, and kneeling, and have good hand-eye coordination
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads and be capable of weight handling, including weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles, shakes, and roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings, and install single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, maps, and specifications to determine work requirements
- The candidates should be able to repair or replace shingles, shakes, single-ply roofing systems, and roofing systems in general
- The candidates should be able to apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level, and install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools
- The candidates should be able to install sheet metal flashings and erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms
