Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic cash register and Point of sale system
Credentials: Responsible Beverage Service Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and perform physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods, work under pressure, and be capable of weight handling
- The candidates should be able to handle weight up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be client-focused, possess excellent oral communication skills, and be flexible
- The candidates should take initiative, be organized, and be reliable
- The candidates should be a team player
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages, and be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns
- The candidates should be able to prepare and serve specialty food at customers’ tables, and present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travelers cheques, or room billings
- The candidates should be able to describe menu items including daily specials for customers, and enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
- The candidates should be able to advise on menu selections, and balance cash and record sales
- The candidates should be able to clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, and greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages
- The candidates should be able to serve food and beverages, and take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff
- The candidates should be able to assist clients/guests with special needs, and provide customer service
