Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education: Candidates should have hold a DEC in Food Sciences
Experience: Candidates should have 2 years of laboratory experience

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to learn Ariba software or any other ordering and inventory management software

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should an equivalent qualification and passed the problem-solving test
  • The candidates should possess very good knowledge of computer applications in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and ability to master SAP software

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to implement new equipment or manage instrument repairs both in the laboratory and production environments
  • The candidates should be able to work with contractors and plant specialists to propose alternatives during equipment breakdowns, suggest modifications, and direct to the appropriate resources
  • The candidates should be able to respond to emergencies from laboratory analysts and production operators regarding analysis devices and computer systems and follow up with suppliers to troubleshoot problems with certain instruments
  • The candidates should be able to assess the urgency of replacing laboratory instruments, make modifications before major repairs, and direct issues to the right resources
  • The candidates should be able to track frequencies for calibrating laboratory, warehouse, and factory thermometers and establish standards and methods for calibrating devices and buffers
  • The candidates should be able to establish a calibration schedule for instruments such as scales, laboratory measuring devices, thermometers, balances, titrators, pH meters, color devices, and others in various environments
  • The candidates should be able to write working procedures and provide user training in both production and laboratory settings and take daily samples from the production line to compare with the official method
  • The candidates should be able to coach operators and analysts, and assist with certifications, such as MSA and create NIR calibration curves, demonstrate strong computer skills, and be willing to learn new software
