Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate hand-eye coordination
  • The candidates should be able to pay attention to detail and use manual dexterity
  • The candidates should be able to work overtime as required and stand for extended periods

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to be accurate, focus on clients, and show dependability
  • The candidates should be able to communicate excellently orally and in writing
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate flexibility, exercise judgment, and show reliability

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems and automotive systems
  • The candidates should be able to inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions and test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications
  • The candidates should be able to estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs and perform scheduled maintenance service
  • The candidates should be able to advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements, complete reports to record problems and work performed, and provide customer service
  • The candidates should be able to coach and instruct apprentices
