Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks and waste and drainage systems
- The candidates should be able to locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
- The candidates should be able to cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings
- The candidates should be able to join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
- The candidates should be able to test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
- The candidates should be able to determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
- The candidates should be able to estimate costs and materials
- The candidates should be able to measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to the required shape and size
