Salary: $15.00 to $23.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 10 to 40 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning
Target audience: Supervise and care for multi-aged group of children
Transportation information: Vehicle supplied by employer and Valid driver’s licence

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and Red Cross Babysitting course
Experience with special needs children: Children with allergies
Cuisine specialties: East Indian

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads, perform physically demanding tasks, and complete repetitive tasks
• The candidates should be able to work under pressure, maintain attention to detail, and lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to change diapers, follow parents’ lead with toilet training, and sterilize bottles and prepare formulas
• The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and shop for food and household supplies
• The candidates should be able to travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
• The candidates should be able to wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens, bathe, dress, and feed infants and children
• The candidates should be able to instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, and keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
• The candidates should be able to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, and organize activities such as games and outings for children
• The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals, and prepare infants and children for rest periods
• The candidates should be able to supervise and care for children, take children to and from school and to appointments, and tend to the emotional well-being of children
• The candidates should be able to help children with homework and cook
• The candidates should be able to teach dance techniques and artistic interpretation
• The candidates should be able to teach students art techniques and methods such as drawing, painting, sculpting, or other forms of artistic expression
