Salary: $18.00 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Aldergrove, BC
Work setting: Room and board provided
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, perform repetitive tasks, and handle physically demanding work
- The candidates should be able to distinguish between colours, stand for extended periods, and bend, crouch, and kneel as needed
- The candidates should be able to work in fruit and vegetable combination farming, work outdoors, and work in dusty environments
- The candidates should be able to work in hot conditions and work in noisy surroundings
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to apply the technique of hoeing between the rows
- The candidates should be able to clean the crops
- The candidates should be able to divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots
- The candidates should be able to hand-harvest vegetables, mix fertilizer, and harvest crops
