Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as needed, work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and work overtime when required
• The candidates should be able to perform physically demanding tasks, stand for extended periods, work under pressure, and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to focus on clients, exhibit efficient interpersonal skills, communicate orally with excellence, show flexibility, and take initiative
• The candidates should be able to stay organized, demonstrate reliability, and work as a team player

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages, and present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travelers’ cheques, or room billings
• The candidates should be able to describe menu items, including daily specials, and advise on menu selections
• The candidates should be able to enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, and serve food and beverages
• The candidates should be able to clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, and greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages
• The candidates should be able to take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff, and provide customer service
