Salary: $24.00 hourly for 32 to 40 hours per week

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be efficient in interpersonal skills, excellent in oral communication, and excellent in written communication
  • The candidates should demonstrate reliability and be a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, and develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • The candidates should be able to lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, taking children to local points of interest, and engage children in activities by preparing crafts
  • The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, and observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems, preparing reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
  • The candidates should be able to submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors, discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings, and establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers
  • The candidates should be able to plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, and supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
