Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the Inuktut, English, and French Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of completed Grade 6 of education
Experience: Candidates should have life experience
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be aware that this is a highly sensitive position requiring a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, along with a clear Vulnerable Sector Check
- The candidates should be able to submit their resume in any of the official languages of Nunavut (Inuktut, English, and French). Fluency in more than one of Nunavut’s official languages is considered an asset. Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, land, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, Inuktut, and experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment
- The candidates should be aware that acceptable combinations of education and experience may be considered for this position, and are encouraged to apply if they have equivalent years of education and experience equal to the requirements listed above
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to have knowledge of the School Crisis Response Manual, the school’s Inuuqatigitsarniq Policy, and the Government of Nunavut Public Service Code of Ethics and Values
- The candidates should be able to conduct themselves accordingly to these policies and codes while fulfilling the duties of the Custodian position
