Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Courtenay, BC
Shifts: Day, Weekend, 08:00 to 16:30
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Supervision: No supervision responsibility
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Area of specialization: Shipping and receiving
Equipment and machinery experience: Dollies and hand trucks, Light trucks, Hoists or winches, Pallet lifters
Credentials: Forklift Operator Certification, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Security and safety: Bondable, Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, perform repetitive tasks, and work under pressure
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads, meet tight deadlines, and perform physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate manual dexterity, pay attention to detail, and demonstrate hand-eye coordination
- The candidates should be able to perform tasks that involve bending, crouching, and kneeling, manage a large workload, and distinguish between colours
- The candidates should be able to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and stand for extended periods
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate a variety of equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products, ship orders, and pick orders and stock
- The candidates should be able to make labels and attach them to goods, provide customer service, and wrap goods
- The candidates should be able to pack and unpack goods, sort, crate, and stack goods, and install, lash, and secure goods
- The candidates should be able to store cargo and materials, transport and distribute materials and goods, and organize and maintain inventory
- The candidates should be able to organize inventories using computerized inventory control systems and handle and store hazardous products
