Salary: $18.00 to $20.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 20 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Part time leading to full time

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to pay attention to detail and perform physically demanding tasks
  • The candidates should be able to handle loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be client focused, should have efficient interpersonal skills, should be flexible
  • The candidate should have judgement, should be organized, should be reliable
  • The candidate should be a team player, should be accurate, should be dependable
  • The candidate should have excellent oral communication, should be punctual

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand and operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate professionalism in customer service and accept payment or invoices for items delivered and receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • The candidates should be able to keep a record of items received and delivered and load and unload goods and sort packages for delivery
  • The candidates should be able to follow directions and read maps and record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems
  • The candidates should be able to pay and receive payments for goods and provide customer service and perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
