Salary: $40.50 hourly for 48 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Guelph, ON
Shifts: Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime, On Call
Transportation information: Own vehicle, Valid driver’s licence, and Willing to travel regularly
Supervision: No supervision responsibility

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Area of specialization: Pediatrics
Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone and Internet access
Credentials: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certificate, Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and Licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities
Security and safety: Immunization records, Tuberculosis test, and Vulnerable sector check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail and overtime when needed
• The candidates should be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, kneeling, and sitting
• The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods while maintaining focus and efficiency

Other Requirements:

• The candidate should be accurate, focused on clients, and demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills
• The candidate should be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, show flexibility, and take initiative
• The candidate should be able to exercise sound judgment, stay organized, and be reliable
• The candidate should be able to collaborate as a team player and manage time efficiently

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to monitor patients and advise physicians of any changes in patients’ condition, address and document symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions, and assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions
• The candidates should be able to collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families, participate in community needs assessment, and conduct disease screening
• The candidates should be able to deliver health education programs, dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician, and manage home care cases
• The candidates should be able to operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment, provide nursing care, and perform administrative tasks
