Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of a Master’s degree in Psychology
Experience: Candidates should have experience in mental health assessment and the provision of psychotherapy
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a Master’s degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) with education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy or a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy with training and or a Master’s degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing with training and experience in mental health assessment and the provision of psychotherapy
- The candidates should be active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to use a variety of treatment modalities, including individual, family, and group therapy, to support individuals experiencing significant mental health challenges
- The candidates should be able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive care for clients
- The candidates should be able to provide evidence-informed practices and best practices in crisis intervention, offering immediate support during critical situations
- The candidates should be able to conduct thorough assessments, ensuring accurate diagnoses and appropriate treatment planning
- The candidates should be able to provide consultation and referrals, directing clients to additional resources or specialists
- The candidates should be able to manage cases effectively, tracking progress and ensuring follow-up care
- The candidates should be able to deliver treatment interventions that align with client needs and current mental health best practices
