Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a high school diploma
Experience: Candidates should have two years of experience welding on TIG
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be available to work days, evenings, or nights, including weekends and holidays and the ability to work shift work and on-call shifts
- The candidates should be flexible, team players with strong attention to detail and the ability to assist with tooling repairs
- The candidates should be prepared to work mostly in a shop setting, with occasional work outside with aircraft and work under pressure and time constraints
- The candidates should be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time of any employment offer. Obtaining required work permits, visas, or other authorizations is the sole responsibility of the candidates
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should hold a mandatory welding license and a valid driver’s license as a mandatory requirement
- The candidates should be able to obtain an airside vehicle operator’s permit (AVOP) and obtain and maintain all applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations. Refer to the Transport Canada site for more details
- The candidates should be certified welders, with aircraft welding and aluminum certification and hold a stick welding certificate
- The candidates should have machinist skills and read engineering drawings and act as a liaison with engineering teams
- The candidates should achieve Transport Canada certification for aircraft welding after selection
