Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completed post-secondary education in carpentry
Experience: Candidates should have Previous experience in a gold milling environment
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate a strong focus on safety and be self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be familiar with tools, equipment, and materials used in maintenance tasks
- The candidates should have experience with framing, roofing, insulation, drywall, and finishing
- The candidates should have strong knowledge of various repair techniques and methods and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- The candidates should have plumbing or HVAC experience and experience with computers or network systems
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform routine inspections and repair/maintenance of building systems to ensure functionality and safety
- The candidates should be able to assist with new construction and interior renovation tasks, including flooring, plumbing, fixtures, plastering, tiling, framing, insulating, painting, and basic locksmithing
- The candidates should be able to provide exterior maintenance repairs and installations, such as roofing, tin siding, flashing, window replacements, door replacements, and cosmetic damage repairs
- The candidates should be able to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues in a timely and efficient manner and conduct preventative maintenance work to keep buildings in good working order and reduce potential issues
- The candidates should be able to follow company safety procedures and safety requirements at all times while performing maintenance tasks
- The candidates should be able to access and prioritize work notifications through the maintenance tracking system (SAP) to ensure proper task management and request parts and quotations from the warehouse and approved suppliers as needed for repairs and maintenance
- The candidates should be able to provide support and assistance to other members of the maintenance team for efficient operations and maintain a safe and clean work environment to ensure a productive and hazard-free workplace
- The candidates should be able to perform daily and monthly inspections and complete associated forms as part of standard maintenance procedures and collaborate with other on-site contractors (plumbers, carpenters, roofers, HVAC) to complete complex maintenance tasks
- The candidates should be able to assemble or relocate furniture and equipment as required by the project or team and perform other duties assigned by the Instrumentation Supervisor as required to support maintenance operations
