Salary: $15.75 to $18.50 hourly (To be negotiated) for 20 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Part time leading to full time
Location: St. John’s, NL
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible Hours, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Area of work experience: Cleaning
Equipment and machinery experience: Industrial Vacuum Cleaners/Power Sweepers, Carpet Cleaning Machine, Polishing Machines, Waxing Machine, Security System, and Upholstery Cleaning Equipment
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work under pressure, perform repetitive tasks, and handle heavy loads
• The candidates should be able to perform physically demanding tasks, bend, crouch, and kneel, and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should have excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, and be flexible
• The candidates should be organized and demonstrate reliability

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs, operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse, and empty trash cans and other waste containers
• The candidates should be able to wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings, perform safety and security checks, and move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
• The candidates should be able to clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures, and work with minimal supervision
