Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Security and safety: Bondable

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work independently, work in a fast-paced environment, and perform repetitive tasks
• The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads, perform physically demanding tasks, and demonstrate attention to detail
• The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel, and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
• The candidates should be able to work overtime as required, sit for extended periods, and stand for extended periods
• The candidates should be able to walk for extended periods and handle weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and between 45 and 60 kg (100-132 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be punctual, possess efficient interpersonal skills, and be flexible
• The candidates should take the initiative, exercise judgement, and be organized
• The candidates should demonstrate reliability, uphold values and ethics, and demonstrate patience
• The candidates should demonstrate honesty

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, and vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
• The candidates should be able to make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, and clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
• The candidates should be able to pick up debris and empty trash containers, assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, and launder clothing and household linens
• The candidates should be able to mend clothing and linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and wash windows, walls and ceilings

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
