Salary: $24.00 to $27.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week

Location: Whitehorse, YT
Shifts: 08:00 to 17:00
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education:Â Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Own tools/equipment:Â Steel-toed safety boots, Cellular phone and Gloves
Credentials: Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate attention to detail and work in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads and walk
- The candidates should be able to handle weight and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be flexible, be organized, and demonstrate reliability
- The candidates should work as a team player, be accurate, and demonstrate dependability
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, take the initiative, and be punctual
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand and operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate professionalism in customer service and accept payment or invoices for items delivered
- The candidates should be able to keep a record of items received and delivered and prepare, package and restock goods
- The candidates should be able to transport and handle dangerous goods and load and unload goods
- The candidates should be able to sort packages for delivery and follow directions and read maps
- The candidates should be able to use maps and other trip planning aids and provide customer service
- The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
