Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be physically capable of handling demanding tasks
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be accurate and client-focused
- The candidates should be team players
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements, estimate costs and materials, and plan tasks accordingly
- The candidates should be able to measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to construct various structures
- The candidates should be able to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, erect walls and roof systems, and fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
- The candidates should be able to maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
