Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have television production and office administration experience
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work both independently as well as collaborate as a team and a disciplined work ethic
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have previous scheduling experience, be detail-oriented and able to work with multiple deadlines and priorities
- The candidates should have strong communication skills and strong planning skills and strong time management skills
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to determine and execute work schedules based on production requirements, established policies, union agreements, and legal guidelines, develop and maintain shift rotations for various production departments
- The candidates should be able to respond to scheduling emergencies, including after-hours and weekend calls, and report accordingly to management
- The candidates should be able to verify staffing requirements against the current schedule to ensure adequate coverage for illness, approved leaves of absence, vacation, and statutory holidays
- The candidates should be able to ensure overtime is not incurred without management approval and work with managers to resolve scheduling issues and concerns and publish schedules within agreed-upon timelines
- The candidates should be able to ensure work hours and related data entries are accurate for payroll processing
- The candidates should be able to maintain accurate records of lieu and vacation days, as well as other required documentation
- The candidates should be able to assist in achieving labor targets and improving cost-effectiveness by reviewing employee work schedules for efficiency opportunities and perform other related duties
